The Welton residence of Covington was eager to hire a roofing company that could help them get the new roof they wanted for their home. Our estimator Gary met with the homeowners and talked about the kinds of results that they were hoping to achieve with the installation. Gary created a descriptive outline that listed every part of the process and what materials would be needed for the job. The Welton’s were able to rest easy as they knew they were in good hands with Achten’s Quality Roofing.
Our roofing crew started on the installation by removing the existing single layer of roofing down to the plywood. At the gutter edges there was no flashing installed, which meant that over the years the composition had pulled back and exposed the sheeting underneath. OSB sheeting absorbs water like a sponge and this meant that the areas were now rotting at the overhanging gutter edges. Workers replaced the overhang and any damaged areas of the roof deck with new plywood. Underlayment felt paper was laid out over the entire deck surface for better protection against infiltrating water that might leak into the new system.
Timberline HD composition was the shingle selected by the Welton residence. This is a fantastic material that many of our customers choose because they love the way it makes their home look. Timberline shingles come in a wide variety of ultra dimensional colors that provide a unique appearance and distinctive presence. These compositions are able to withstand winds of up to 130 mph and have a Class A fire rating for their outstanding results in fire tests.
Achten’s Quality Roofing was quick to complete the tasks at hand and cleaned the area of all job-related materials when the work was finished. The Welton residence was thrilled with the outcome they received from our roofers. Our customers were very appreciative of the level of professionalism they received from our employees throughout the process and we were thrilled to help make the installment a reality.
