The 17th Annual Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park
November 24, 2011 – January 1, 2012
Load up your family and friends head out to one of the most entertaining and fascinating display of lights in the Northwest. Pierce County Parks and Recreation is pleased to present the 17th Annual “Fantasy Lights” at Spanaway Park. Visitors viewing from cars, vans, and buses will be treated to thousands of sparkling lights and creative animation that promises to dazzle the eye and tantalize the imagination of the whole family.
The beautiful holiday 2.2-mile drive-through event along Spanaway Lake will feature over 300 elaborate displays and has become a memorable lakeside tradition for the entire family. Be transported to the magical world of imagination where bears fly kites, snowboys kick fieldgoals, Santa snowboards down a slope, Frogs jump in and out of a tree, and reindeer leap over your car.
You will also marvel at the “Gingerbread Playground” attraction this year along with several other new fun displays. As you drive, dial your radio into a selection of special holiday music performed by local junior and senior high schools that will add to the festive atmosphere in the park. Come be a part of the northwest’s largest drive-through event.
The event attracted almost 150,000 spectators (22,771 vehicles) in 2010. We are currently planning for this year’s event to be bigger and brighter than ever.
